IRLP Net on hold for now

By The American Legion
Ham Radio

The Legion Radio Club's monthly "Internet Radio Linking Project" Net, or IRLP, which has operated for years on K9DC's Node 9735, experienced a sharp decline in participation over the last several months. Because of this, the Net ceased operations effective this month.

Options will be pursued through the coming months and alternatives to IRLP operations will be offered in late winter or early spring of this year.

For the time-being, those who wish to participate in Net operations but lack HF or D-Star equipment are encouraged to make use of TALARC's EchoLink Net. The Net meets on the Second Saturday of the month on the Family Motor Coach Association's EchoLink Conference Node, *FMCA-ARC*.

During the final IRLP Net operations in December, Dave, K9DC, announced his pleasure at having hosted the TALARC IRLP net over the many years. Dave understands our desire to step back and consider new times and purposes for IRLP, and stands ready to assist. Our thanks to Dave for his friendship and assistance that have been exceptional since the very beginning of The American Legion Amateur Radio Club.
