Announcement: From the April Net Announcements: The “TALARC” Conference Node on EchoLink was addressed, and all invited to use the node. Everyone checking in tonight will receive a certificate commemorating the start of our 3rd year of operation. K5ATW Steve discussed the problems he was having with the MFJ 4726 switch. and W5JGW gave some fill-in instructions. WA5GYM Andy discussed the arrest of someone going 180 mph in the area close to Jackson, MS; he was arrested after he posted the video on the Internet. During his arrest, his home was searched and multiple firearms were discovered. Since he is a convicted felon, possession of a firearm is also a felony. His wife was also arrested for fighting with the police. His 180 mph car was confiscated as were his firearms. Moral of this story: Don’t post stupid things on the internet if you don’t want to get caught.
W5GS George reports that a new repeater was put up in Diamondhead, MS. It is on 444.450 + No Tone and is ID’d as KA5EPR, and is open to all. W8LAT Larry reports that he is headed back to Three Rivers, MI, for the summer. He hopes to be able to check in from his home there. Safe travels Larry.

Location for all net times was discussed and direction to www.legion.org/hamradio was provided.
