Boyce Aten American Legion Post 25 members support exercise in planning and emergency radio operations.

The Imperial County (Calif.) Emergency Operations Center exercise "Hurricane Lupe" took place on Oct. 30.

Boyce Aten American Legion Post 25 El Centro, Calif., members Bob Candland, J. Rollins and Dick Verbrugh supported the exercise in planning and emergency radio operations.

The American Legion post is seeking local veterans interested in starting up The American Legion Amateur Radio Club (TALARC) in the Imperial Valley. Although currently licensed veteran operators are wanted, any veteran interested in becoming a radio operator, or "ham," and joining up are also wanted.
