Announcements were made regarding the following subjects:
• FCC Proposes to Institute Amateur Radio Application Fees
• National Commander’s Updates

Discussion on the net was encouraged in regard to the following:
• Net Control, Mike, W9MNA, was unable to hear or acknowledge participants for the first 15 minutes of the net. Everett, WA3DVO, took over Net Control while Mike rebooted his computer. Mike took over Net Control at approximately 1220ET.
• Chris, W4CEC, reported working with the local Boy Scouts of America group on helping them get their Radio Operations Badge. He also mentioned the ham radio classes and testing he and his radio club members have conducted and continue to conduct.
• Everett, WA3DVO, informed EchoLink net participants that the TALARC, 1300ET, 20 meter HF Net frequency was going to move from 14.275 to 14.277 due to the traffic on the 14,275 frequency.
