W9MNA raised the question of HF band conditions. Discussion followed, led by WA3DVO, regarding DX on several bands, solar flex index and K index, minimum usable frequency (MUF) and other considerations. In technical terms, the bands were currently “stinko” but expected to improve. WV5Q announced a new HF net launched by American Legion Post 1992 (Station K5TAL) on Wednesday nights on 3.829 MHz, joining their ongoing Digital Voice Net on Thursdays, and the most recent addition of C4FM capability in March/April.
The TALARC/K9TAL EchoLink Conference Net for April closed at 1252 ET [1652Z].
