American Legion Post 28 in Spartanburg, S.C., had our regularly scheduled TALARC comm. this Thursday – 3/4/2021. We operate from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST (1430 – 1630) on Thursdays, basically communicating by repeater with Mt. Mitchell, N.C. - the N2GE repeater. My efforts with finding a frequency location on HF that I can declare as our contact frequency has been a difficult challenge. I want to declare a frequency that we can announce for contacting us.

This week, we had 15 contacts by repeater. Most of these are repeated contacts, however I was able to log in two first-time contacts, to include AL Post 275 in Independence, Ky. – by Judy A. Smith W1ORO. This was made possible through EchoLink. The other new contact was James E. Wall Jr. in KG4VJE in Mooresville, N.C.
My efforts are to help our TALARC share our radio comm. by sending these first-time contacts our QSL card, letting them know to share their contact with us with their local Legion posts.
