Announcements were read that included:
1) Recent TALARC net start-ups at Oregon Post 10 on 20 meters, and Kentucky Post 42 on WinLink.
2) Two TALARC clubs to conduct special events in September. Maryland Post 275 will conduct an MIA/POW Special Event Station on Friday, Sept. 17. And Oregon Post 10 will conduct a Sept. 11 Anniversary: Never Forget Special Event Station from Sept. 9-13.
3) Notice given that the September edition of The American Legion Magazine is dedicated to the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
4) Announcement was made on the election of the new American Legion national commander, Paul E. Dillard, at the Legion’s 102nd National Convention in Phoenix.
5) A summary of the early hours of the September 11th, 2001, attack on America was read, after which discussion was had about each net participant’s memories of that day.
