Year 6, Week 5 April 20, 2022 The K5TAL net on 80 meters was opened at 6:45 pm (2345z) on 3.862 MHz and had 16 check-ins. The net started 15 minutes early due to rapidly decreasing band conditions. I will take EchoLink check-ins starting at 6:30 CDT at my node WV5Q 383345, and I will also take check-ins via WinLink any time between Wednesday and Friday on WinLink address wv5q@winlink.org. Announcements:
Every Monday at 7 pm CST, another 80 meter net is conducted by Art, W5ATK from Enterprise, Ala. Net is on 3.865 LSB.
Post 275, Glenarden, Md., is experimenting with the HF net that has been conducted on the second Saturday of each month. For a trial period of three months, the net has moved to 40 meters at 7.275 and will operate a two-hour net from 10 am to noon, Eastern time. See N3TAL on QRZ.com for QSL info.
The Post 46 Wilderness Road American Legion holds a monthly D-Star net on the first Monday of every month at 8 pm EST on Ref 56C, and EchoLink Node of KY4RW-L. Early check-ins are accepted ½ hour before net starts.
Post 275, Upper Marlboro, holds a monthly Wires-X on the third Tuesday of every month on Room 21433 at 7 pm EST.
