Atlantic City Regional Stand Down set for May 25

Annual event’s aim is to assist homeless and at-risk veterans.

The American Legion Department of New Jersey and other veterans service organizations will conduct the annual Atlantic City Regional Stand Down on May 25.

The event to assist homeless and at-risk veterans targets six of New Jersey’s 21 counties but is open to all who come.

The stand down will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at All Wars Memorial Soldiers Home, 1510 Adriatic Ave., Atlantic City, N.J. Services include VA medical, mental health, benefits, claims, housing, employment, and men’s and women’s clothing and hygiene products. Lunch will also be provided.

Participating organizations include The American Legion, Department of Veterans Affairs, Catholic Charities Diocese of Camden, Red Cross, DAV, and VFW.
