The National WWII Museum offers two choices for educational travel packages.

The National WWII Museum has extended the deadline to receive a $1,000-per-couple discount to join Across 2 Wars: The American Legion’s Centennial Commemorative Tour of historic World War I and World War II sites in France. The eight-day tour – with an optional one-night pre-tour extension in Paris – is operated by The National WWII Museum, as part of its educational travel program, in alliance with The American Legion.

The new deadline to receive the discount is July 20, 2018.

The scheduled tour dates are Sept. 3-11, 2018, and Sept. 30-Oct. 8, 2018.

To learn more about the tours and to make reservations, visit www.nationalww2museum.org/across-two-wars online.

The experience, led by a full-time logistical manager, features expert battlefield and memorial guides at such sites as the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial Cemetery, the Suresnes American Cemetery, Compiègne (where the World War I armistice was signed), Soissons, Verdun and the Douaumont Ossuary, Château-Thierry, Belleau Wood, and the historic Normandy beaches and cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach where American Legion founder Theodore Roosevelt Jr. is laid to rest.

The tour includes four-star accommodations in Paris, where the Legion was founded in March 1919, Reims and Bayeux; VIP access to sites not available through other tours; eight breakfasts, six lunches and four dinners; free-flow beverages with included meals; gratuities; private first-class motor-coach transportation; round-trip airport transfers for those arriving and departing on scheduled tour dates; and more. International airfare to Paris is not included.
