May is Military Appreciation Month

See what companies and organizations are offering the military and families.

Military.com has compiled a list of discounts and services offered to servicemembers, veterans and their families by businesses and organizations in honor of Military Appreciation Month. Keep an eye on the list for updates.

Birmingham Zoo: Active duty, retired military, veterans and their dependents get free admission to the zoo May 26-28.

Blue Star Museums: Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s military from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

California's Great America: All active or retired military members will receive free admission to California’s Great America on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend (May 26-28).

Carowinds: Carowinds offers free park admission to any active, inactive or retired member of the military for their Military Days May 27-28.

Cincinnati Zoo: Military personnel, including active military, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps members with government-issued ID, receive free admission on Memorial Day. The offer also allows military personnel to purchase up to 6 half-price admission tickets for members of their immediate family.

Colonial Williamsburg: Colonial Williamsburg offers free admission during Memorial Day weekend to all active-duty military, retired, veterans, activated or drilling reservists, National Guard personnel, and up to three direct dependents. Keep in mind that active duty, activated or drilling reservists and National Guard personnel must select one complimentary day per year.

Dorney Park: Dorney Park in Pennsylvania offers free regular admission to any active or retired military personnel May 26-28. Military members can also purchase discount admission tickets for members of their immediate family (maximum of six).

Dutch Wonderland: Active and retired military personnel receive free admission on May 28. Complimentary admission is available at the gate only. Active and retired military personnel may purchase tickets for the other members in their party at their summer military rate of up to $11 off regular-priced One-Day Royalty, Senior and Senior Plus admission.

Hersheypark: Military families get a 40 percent discount on one-day admission tickets and free parking during Military Appreciation Weekend, May 18-20.

Home Depot: All veterans are eligible for Home Depot's 10 percent military discount on Memorial Day with a DoD-issued ID, a DD-214 or a veterans driver’s license. (This discount is good for veterans on July 4 and Veterans Day as well.)

Kings Dominion: Members of the military and veterans get free admission and discount tickets for their families May 26-28.

Kings Island: Kings Island is offering military personnel free admission May 25-28. Qualifying military personnel can also purchase discount tickets at a special price of $34 per ticket for up to six family members at the park.

Michigan's Adventure: Michigan's Adventure is offering military personnel a free admission May 27-28. Military personnel may also purchase up to six additional tickets for immediate family members at $26 each.

Mystic Aquarium: Veterans and active-duty members who visit Mystic Aquarium May 26-28 will receive free general admission. Dependent family members receive a discounted admission rate of $20.99 per adult, $15.99 per youth (13-17) and $13.99 per child (3-12).

Pancho's Mexican Restaurant: Veterans and active-duty servicemembers will receive a 10 percent discount throughout the month of May.

Silverwood Theme Park: Military personnel and veterans get free admission May 26-28. Immediate family members also receive a discounted rate when purchasing tickets at Silverwood's front gate.

Texas de Brazil: Texas de Brazil offers 50 percent off for veterans and active-duty military, and 20 percent off for up to an additional seven guests.

Valleyfair: Active-duty and veterans will receive a free regular admission ticket into Valleyfair May 25-28. They can also purchase discount admission tickets for members of their immediate family.

Virginia Aquarium: On Sundays and Mondays in May, anyone who shows a valid military ID will receive 50 percent off the purchase of an Aquarium admission.

Worlds of Fun: Active duty, retired military, veterans and National Guard and reserve members receive complimentary admission to Worlds of Fun on May 28. Military personnel can also purchase up to six discounted tickets for their immediate family.
