'The American Legion will never forget the heroes of Pearl Harbor'

Monday, Dec. 7, is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. On this day 79 years ago, survivors, veterans and their families remember the servicemembers and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor are honored.

"The American Legion will never forget the heroes of Pearl Harbor and the members of the greatest generation who ensured their freedom will not only survive, but it would prevail," said American Legion National Commander James W. "Bill" Oxford in his Pearl Harbor remembrance message.
