Military, public events being planned nationwide through both October and 2026.
As the United States gets closer to its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, institutions brought into being by the Revolutionary War are beginning to turn 250 as well. The turn of the U.S. Navy is Oct. 13. The Navy has released a dedicated microsite for the milestone at navy.mil/Navy-250, with information about its upcoming commemorations and celebrations across the country.
The Navy’s biggest celebration is Homecoming 250, set for Oct. 9-16 in Philadelphia and Camden County, N.J. Events will be held in Philadelphia unless otherwise listed.
