The American Legion has a variety of free e-newsletters to keep veterans, military personnel and their families updated on messages from the national commander, podcast episodes, flag alerts, job fairs, American Legion programs and more.
Subscribe to the following e-newsletters by going to legion.org/newsletters. Click the “Subscribe” tab at the top. You will be re-directed to MyLegion.org to opt in/out of the e-newsletters. To manage your e-newsletter subscriptions, click the “edit” button.
Online Update. The weekly email delivered every Thursday includes a roundup of stories from Legion.org, video features, and other information related to veterans affairs, legislation, veteran health-care benefits, Legion programs and activities, and more.
Commander's Message. The national commander sends out emails, usually twice monthly, about important American Legion initiatives and programs, and items of general interest to the veterans community.
Flag Alert. An email notification is sent when the flag of the United States is to be displayed at half-staff.
Tango Alpha Lima. The weekly podcast is produced by The American Legion. Join Mark Seavey, Ashley Gorbulja-Maldonado and Jeff Daly as they explore current events, interesting trends and quirky stories of interest to the military community.
Legion Riders. The American Legion Riders Update E-newsletter provides information on the American Legion Legacy Run, including how to register, the route and anything else participants will need to know. The e-newsletter will share information on ALR program updates or changes, as well as links to external media stories about what Legion Rider chapters are doing across the country.
Digital Dispatch. The Digital Dispatch is e-mailed to subscribers monthly. Stories are adapted from the print newsletter that focus on membership needs and program updates.
Training. This Legionnaire-driven circular is to highlight best practices, ideas and creative thinking of Legionnaires throughout The American Legion. It is hoped this newsletter will lead the way to much broader training for Legionnaires wanting to know more, but really wanting to do more.
The Dugout. The American Legion Baseball newsletter keeps coaches informed on registration information, the tournament guide, previous star players, news stories, events, updates and more.
