The Feb. 28 virtual training session will be at 7 p.m. Eastern and conducted by the Internal Affairs & Membership Division.
The February Training Tuesday will be on how yoga is beneficial for physical and mental fitness. The training will be presented by Jeff Masters, founder and director of the Masters Institute, "an organization dedicated to vibrant health, wellness and the realization of our fully actualized potential."
Masters is on the board of directors for Veteran’s Yoga Project (VYP), a nonprofit that offers free in-person and virtual yoga classes nationwide for veterans, military families and communities to support recovery and resilience. He has served as a senior advisor, core faculty member and executive board member for Yoga For First Responders, and has shared his yoga knowledge with other organizations such as the International Association of Firefighters, FBI National Academy Associates, Chicago Police Academy, Seattle Fire Department, California Division of Forestry and more.
His experience and training includes active duty military service, yoga and yoga therapy certifications, somatic therapy, sports medicine, trauma specific training, ayurvedic therapies and more.
