Alabama American Legion hosting revitalization efforts in Montgomery Aug. 9.
The American Legion Department of Alabama is staging a veteran outreach and post revitalization effort Aug. 9 in Montgomery. Veterans in and around Autauga, Bullock, Elmore, Lowndes, Macon and Montgomery counties are invited to discuss and receive assistance with veterans’ benefits, and learn about the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Legion Department of Alabama Headquarters, 120 North Jackson St., Montgomery. An American Legion service officer will be available to assist area veterans with claims or other veteran benefit-related questions.
