Veterans outreach effort, claims assistance happening at two Alabama locations

District revitalization efforts taking place Dec. 6 in Camden, Tuscaloosa. 

A pair of veterans outreach and district revitalization efforts will take place in the American Legion Department of Alabama on Dec. 6. Veterans in both areas are encouraged to attend either effort to discuss veterans’ benefits, and learn about the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community. An American Legion service officer will be on hand to assist with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs benefits claims and answer other questions.

·         In Camden, veterans in and around Choctaw, Marengo, Dallas, Wilcox, Clarke and Monroe County are invited to attend American Legion Post 84, 1 Legion Road, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

·         In Tuscaloosa, veterans in and around Pickens, Sumpter and Tuscaloosa County are invited to attend the outreach session, which will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cross Point Church, 4109 University Blvd. East.
