Donations can benefit Legion programs.
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages generosity through actions and donations. Held since 2012 on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it inspires people to make a difference, together, in their communities.
This year, Giving Tuesday is Dec. 3. One way you can participate is by making a gift to The American Legion, helping support and adding to the legacy of vital programs for veterans, their families and youth. For over 100 years, in communities across America and around the world, the Legion has maintained such programs, which make vital impacts.
In fiscal 2023-2024, accredited American Legion service officers obtained $21,000,396,471.46 in VA benefits for veterans free of charge, a record; donations to the American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation help provide high-quality training to these officers. And Legion youth programs, from Baseball to the Oratorical Contest, connect thousands of youths each year to values, community service, and respect and gratitude for America and patriotism.

And after your act of generosity, spread the word about it on social media, using the hashtags #GivingTuesday and #AmericanLegion. In addition, if your post, unit or squadron conducts a Giving Tuesday activity, post it on Legiontown.
According to the movement’s website, everyone has the power to "transform the world through radical generosity." But the American Legion Family already knows that.
