American Legion activation display will be on hand for Army-Air Force game

A veteran service officer will be available at the display, which will be located in Victory Plaza from 3:30-7:30 p.m. this Saturday in West Point, N.Y.

The American Legion’s activation display will be on hand in West Point, N.Y., on Nov. 7, as Air Force comes to town to take on Army’s Black Knights in a night game that will have strong implications in the quest for this year’s Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy.

The Legion’s activation display will be open from 3:30-7:30 p.m. and will be located in Victory Plaza behind Michie Stadium’s new East Stands. An American Legion veterans service officer will be on site to assist with any benefits-related question.

Volunteers will man the display and be available to share information about The American Legion and the resources available to veterans and their families.

The Falcons enter the game 6-2 and are second in the nation in rushing yards per game (341.0). Air Force already has a 14-9 win over Navy this year and can wrap up the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy with a win Sunday.

Army leads the nation in rushing at 342.5 yards per game and has won three of its past four games. A Black Knights win Saturday would allow Army to clinch the trophy with a victory in the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. The American Legion is an associate sponsor of the Army-Navy Game, which will air on CBS at 3 p.m. ET. on Dec. 12.

Saturday’s Army-Air Force game will air on CBS at 7:30 p.m. ET. The FOX Sports Big Noon Kickoff will broadcast live starting at 10 a.m. ET from West Point this Saturday as part of FOX's Annual Salute to Service.
