American Legion Family members either hosting or sponsoring community Easter events urged to share their stories and photos with us.
With the coronavirus pandemic raging in 2020, most public Easter events were cancelled. And like throughout the pandemic, American Legion Family members stepped up, in this instance coming up with ways to allow members of their communities to take part in Easter events safely.
Last year, with some restrictions lifted, more traditional events were allowed to happen, including American Legion Post 342 in Willard, Ky., conducting its fourth annual community egg hunt, albeit a scaled-back, safer version of the event.
With Easter coming up April 17, we want to remind American Legion Family members hosting or organizing some sort of community Easter event to share their efforts at www.legiontown.org. We are planning on providing a wrap-up of American Legion-related Easter events through our national media.
