Zelensky accuses Russia of targeting civilians, North Korean artillery drills, and RIP Paulie Walnuts.

1.      President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of "deliberately" targeting civilians in a missile strike that has killed 18 people in Donetsk, Eastern Ukraine. In a national address on Sunday evening, the Ukrainian president referenced the attack and promised "punishment is inevitable for every Russian murderer."

2.     North Korea appeared to have conducted artillery firing drills on Sunday, South Korea said, days after the United States deployed sophisticated fighter jets to South Korea for joint training. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that it detected multiple trajectories presumed to be North Korean artillery on Sunday afternoon. It said South Korea's military maintained a firm readiness in close coordination with the United States.

3.    China’s support for Russia’s war in Ukraine is complicating U.S.-Chinese relations at a time when they are already beset by rifts and enmity over numerous other issues, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his Chinese counterpart on Saturday.

4.    Joyce Edith Wagner Weaver was honored during her birthday celebration in Pennsauken, N.J., Saturday afternoon — not just for turning 100 years old, but for also helping to pave the way for women after her.  The Ruth Altone American Legion Post 374 was officially formed in May 1946 with her help, where she served as junior vice commander. She is currently a member of American Legion F.W. Grigg Post 68 Merchantville.

5.    RIP Paulie Walnuts. Tony Sirico, who played the impeccably groomed mobster Paulie Gualtieri in "The Sopranos" and brought his tough-guy swagger to films including "Goodfellas," died Friday. The U.S. Army veteran was 79.
