TREE TOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL RECOGNIZES THE AMERICAN LEGION AS OFFICIAL CHARITY

The American Legion has been named the official charity of Tree Town Music Festival to honor our nation’s heroes, thanking them for their service and sacrifice.

Tree Town Music Festival is proud to announce The American Legion is the official charity of the Memorial Day weekend event featuring top country music artists in Forest City, Iowa. Tree Town Music Festival and The American Legion have created special ticket rates to make this an even more accessible destination event for active-duty military, veterans and their families.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Heritage Park, Tree Town Music Festival is bringing Nashville to Iowa with non-stop music from some of country’s hottest acts during a two-day music extravaganza May 24-25. Hosted by country music artist and funny man Joe Denim, the star-studded line-up includes Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert and Chris Young among others. In addition to the music, Tree Town Music Festival will feature beer tents, a variety of food vendors, rock climbing, bounce houses, more than 1,800 campsites across the expansive 200-acre site with flip cup competitions, golf cart taxis, concessions and much more.

“The support of Tree Town Music Festival is a great display of patriotism and one more reason I’m proud to call Iowa home,” said Jim Demarest, Department Commander for The American Legion of Iowa. “Through the Home Base Iowa initiative, Gov.Terry Branstad has issued a statewide commitment to welcoming newly discharged veterans to live and work in Iowa. Tree Town Music Festival has answered that call through support of The American Legion. We strive to reach and support veterans, and Tree Town Music Festival has provided a platform to do just that. Tree Town Music Festival is a great addition to The American Legion’s ceremonies honoring our fallen warriors.”

Tree Town Music Festival is a premiere destination for all country music fans with something extra for active duty military, veterans and their families. Weekend general admission passes will be specially priced at $110 per person and $60 per person for single day passes by using promo code “LEGION” during purchase. Tickets can be purchased at www.TreeTownFestival.com. Weekend general admission passes include Friday access to "Little Nashville,” a stage bringing the excitement of Nashville’s world-famous Broadway to Iowa. Performances will be Friday, May 23 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Representatives from The American Legion of Iowa Service Office will also be in attendance to meet with veterans and their families. Service officers have a thorough knowledge of Department of Veterans Affairs regulations and instructions and are familiar with the broad spectrum of VA programs and operations. Service officers will discuss opportunities available through the Home Base Iowa initiative, identifying and preparing claims for VA, assistance and representation in any claim for VA benefits and other services available through The American Legion.
