Legion Riders racking up millions of miles in Harley-Davidson® Let’s Ride Challenge®

More than 5,400 American Legion Riders have logged close to 3 million miles in the second annual challenge.

American Legion Riders National Chairman David Heredia is praising his fellow Riders for their efforts so far in participating in Harley-Davidson’s second annual Let’s Ride Challenge® Ride for Heroes. The ride serves as a tribute to the military members, veterans and first responders who protect and serve our communities.

Harley Davidson’s goal for the challenge is 100 million accumulated miles; each mile logged brings the challenge closer to a $1 million donation to organizations that support the heroes who have Americans’ backs. As participating riders rack up the miles, they may also compete to win one of five new Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and earn other awards for mileage milestones.

So far, more than 5,400 American Legion Riders have registered for the challenge, logging nearly 3 million miles. “That, in itself, is absolutely awesome,” Heredia said. “Every mile matters. Every Rider matters. But this challenge is more than just getting us on the road. It increases the visibility of the American Legion Riders, and that’s the important part: our Legion Family and our Legion Riders being seen across the country.

“For those Riders who signed up already, it helps us build those relationships. And it also helps us build relationships with other riders, local (Harley-Davidson) dealerships, and it creates an opportunity for us to share our mission and service to veterans and military families within our communities. It’s also an opportunity to introduce more people to do the work and to introduce people to the work we do every day – including our work for the Veterans & Children Foundation and the life-changing impact the foundation has one veterans and family members.”

Key components of the challenge include:

·         Let’s Ride Challenge® Ride for Heroes is open to riders of all motorcycle brands.

·         Participants can register online, through the H-D App, or at an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer.

·         Mileage Rewards may be earned at five mileage milestones.

Heredia urged Riders who have not registered to do so and thanked those who have. “If you’re already participating, thank you,” he said. “Keep logging those miles and encourage fellow Riders and Legion Family members and friends to participate. Your miles matter. Continue to lead by example. Show the nation what the American Legion Riders, in this historic year, can accomplish when we ride together.”

All motorcycle riders who are U.S. residents (except Hawaii) are invited to participate. Contestants are not required to be members of the Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G.®). However, H.O.G. members have an opportunity to earn exclusive rewards with each mile they ride, including a $5,000 bonus if they win one of the five new 2026 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, and those who join H.O.G.® between Feb. 27 and April 30 using a dealer referral code will earn 1,000 bonus points.

The more participants ride, visit dealers to update their mileage and collect keywords between Feb. 27 and Oct. 31, 2026, the higher their Rev Score. The highest Rev Score for each of the five mileage tiers will win a 2026 Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. Special rewards can be earned by reaching Let’s Ride Challenge™ Ride for Heroes milestones.
