Over 30 wreaths were laid during the annual Washington Conference.
Over 100 American Legion Family members, led by Sons of The American Legion National Commander Clint Bolt, laid wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery and other memorials during the annual Washington Conference in March.
SAL members from 24 detachments, including the Detachment of Puerto Rico, placed 32 wreaths as part of the annual wreath-laying tours during the trip to Washington. Bolt participated in wreath-laying ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the World War II Memorial and the Korean War Memorial.
SAL members also attended several meetings during the conference itself, and Bolt, SAL National Legislative Commission Chairman Thomas Deal and Vice Chairman Mike Monserud attended National Commander James “Bill” Oxford’s testimony on Capitol Hill along with other members of The American Legion Family.
