The American Legion is celebrating America’s birthday through fitness, mental wellness and community service.
The American Legion’s USA 250 Challenge is a celebration of America’s 250th birthday where individuals or teams participate in one or all three categories – fitness, mental wellness and community service – and support the organization’s Veterans & Children Foundation.
Registered teams are collecting 250 items to stock food pantrys, making 250 Buddy Checks, logging 250 hours of yoga, and walking/running 250 decameters. As more teams begin to register for the USA 250 Challenge, the following are a few common questions and answers to help you form a team.
Question: How can I register a team?
Answer: One person needs to register for The American Legion’s USA 250 Challenge individually and create a team name in the team field. After the team has been created, share the team name with others who want to be a part of it. Then, they will need to enter the team name when registering for the challenge.
Registration fee is $30 and includes a USA 250 Challenge T-shirt. All proceeds benefit The American Legion’s Veterans & Children Foundation, which supports disabled veterans and children of veterans in financial need.
Question: I created a team but don’t see it. What should I do?
Answer: After registering and creating a team, it can take up to one business day to process and appear. If after a day it is still not showing, please send a message to support@myeventscenter.com.
Question: What if I already registered for the challenge but now I want to be part of a team?
Answer: Please send a message through the Contact Us link, and we will place you into the team of your choice. Allow one business day for this to be fulfilled.
Question: What if I don’t see myself as a participant on a team?
Answer: After registering and entering a team name to be a part of, please allow one business day for your name to appear.
Question: Can I register others for my team?
Answer: Yes, you may complete another person’s registration and payment of $30, but be sure to have their permission.
