‘For Service To Your Country’ is step-by-step guide to receiving benefits earned through military service.

Written by Peter S. Gaytan and Marian Edelman Borden, the book “For Service to Your Country:  The Insider’s Guide to Veterans’ Benefits” is a practical, step-by-step guide to receiving benefits earned through military service. Gaytan is executive director of The American Legion’s Washington office, and Borden is the author of “The Baffled Parent’s Guide to Sibling Rivalry.”

Now in its second printing, the book contains a wealth of material on how to navigate through the complicated world of the Department of Veterans Affairs, including how to appeal VA rejection of claims.
