Speech, ad slicks prepared by Public Relations Division can now be accessed and distributed free of charge.
The American Legion’s Public Relations Division has released its slate of materials for Veterans Day 2012. The more directly public-focused material is a pair of ad slicks, in black/white and color, thanking all veterans for their service. The PR Division is sending the slicks to newspapers around the country to use as a free public service; Legionnaires are encouraged to download and distribute them to publications in their area – school, corporate and church bulletins/newsletters, etc. The slicks can be accessed here in color and here in black/white.
The suggested Veterans Day speech is available here. All patriotic-holiday speeched prepared by the PR Division are meant only as starting places, for members delivering a speech publicly or just at the post, to amend in whatever ways they feel best relate the Legion’s message to the audience. Both the speech and the ad slicks can also be accessed on the Publications page of the national website.
Stay tuned for more news and announcements on Veterans Day 2012.
