Veterans can use the app to check on their claims and appeals, upload documentation, manage appointments and more.
The VA app, which allows veterans more timely access to various information, surpassed 1 million downloads late in 2022. The Department of Veterans Affairs worked with veterans to develop the app, which was launched about 18 months ago.

“Veterans told us they wanted a single, fast and intuitive place where they could complete common or recurring tasks across all of VA from anywhere and any device, including their mobile smartphones,” said Chris Johnston, deputy chief technology officer, who also said additional features are in the works for release later.
Veterans can use the app to:
Securely message with VA’s health-care team. View vaccination records. Contact the Veterans Crisis Line. Find a nearby VA facility. Check status of claims and appeals. Upload claim documentation. Download common VA letters and documents. Manage health-care appointments. VA plans to update the app with additional features, including the ability to:
• Request refills of VA prescriptions and track their delivery.
• View lab and test results.
• Check in to appointments.
• Schedule appointments.
