The members of our U.S. Military all have a common core experience: they enter and adapt to a unique society often very different than what they were previously accustomed to. Although the military teaches leadership, honor and valor, they also value career development and supplemental education. What may sometimes come up lagging is emphasis of the importance of morality and spirituality as key elements to success and achievement. If not brought up in an orthodox religion, the necessary knowledge and information may never be acquired or valued.

This book takes the principles of 12 Step Spiritual and Moral Recovery programs that are readily available to our civilian society and offers the information to any and all U.S. Military personnel including dependent, retired and veterans who may want or need it. The information is not for the substance addicted nor alcoholic, but rather for those competent and able bodies who are motivated to seek and maintain a moral and spiritual way of life. Many people report that as a result of the practice of the 12 Step Spiritual and Moral Recovery process they have been able to meet difficulties and still enjoy life. They see it as a way to happy and effective living.
