Empty gesture. The North Koreans do something to provoke a reaction knowing we will do absolutely nothing. Then we buy them off with millions of dollars of our tax dollars in aid.

Shooting blanks does absolutely nothing. Send them in prepared to wipe N.Korea off the map. Nukes will never leave the ground if command and control is destroyed.

We can easily be suckered into playing the game of a "Nut Job". Stick with our original plan and stay away from slippery slopes that we will not be able to extradite ourselves from.

I believe in Teddy Roosevelt's "Walk softly and carry a big stick". That very much applies to all world disorder. Putting your head in the sand only fools the one in the sand.

I'm pretty sure they flew over only South Korea. So it's no big deal. I don't think we would violate North Korean airspace unless we're ready to back it up, because it would cause an incident and that they are being provoked into war. And I pretty sure that the DMZ and the peace accord wouldn't allow it. But I could be all wrong about this, but if not then this was a wrong question to poll on.

It is about time. Why does China support North Korea. We must support our ally South Korea and Japan.

I served in Korea. The South people are great and I am sure if that nut case running North Korea had any brains, he would get his head out of his rear end and realize who he is messing with.

Tell the Chinese NK is their problem child and we expect them (the Chinese) to keep them in line. Thats all we have to say unless they threaten us or our friends. We are tired of talking. Take us at our word.

This action should have happened sooner. Challenging them now needs to happen before there is a point they are ready to act. We need to neturalize them.

They flew over South Korea.

Ray M is right. All news agencies reported it flew over South Korea, not North Korea. Somebody needs to get their facts straight.

I thought General MacArthur was dead. Whoever posted this dumb-assed question should go back to officers' school and learn the difference between North and South. Besides, the reaction of North Korea -- to anything -- is immaterial since they are pawns of the Chinese. If we ever actually sent U.S. bombers over North Korea, the reaction would come from Peking. Perhaps they would send a few of their bombers over South Korea? Wouldn't that be fun?

I agree with you brother, let's not get into something with the north, when it's the Chinese making the calls.

Didn't know that bombers flew over North Korea. No shown in any media saw

Bombers flew only in S. Korean airspace. We don't scare N. Korea, they know we have no stomach (aka our president) for conflict.

I served in korea in the 50,s and I think we should show junior who he is messing with.we kicked their ass once looks like he needs a reminder of what we did to daddy.

My reaction is that flybys near the DMZ happen all the time, it just so happened this one got talked about briefly on the news. They did not cross into North Korean airspace, so obviously someone did not get the facts straight.

Amazing the different stories that evolve from depending on the propaganda arm of the federal government. Spent the 8 years in the USAF, our pilots know exactly where they are at all times. They sometimes have difficulty recognizing the different between a direct or "lawful" order.

We all know that North Korea has been preparing for war for the last 50 or so years. They have always been sore loosers and think that because now they have a Nuclear Capability, every other country would have to bow down to them. In their infinite ignorance they have been disregarding all the warnings given by the United States and its allies in the South Pacific. Kim most sing his last song and let Democracy rule over North Korea. Feed their people and children and become part of the World Team. If not, their suffering will just become greater and they will panic and do something really stupid. Our response will be swift and powerful. Their military , Their Infrastructure, do not have the capability to withstand our might.

If we were really concerned we would reconsider our trade deals with North Korea's biggest ally, China. When we and our allies trade with China we are just giving them more of an ability to war with us. Guess this isn't really a problem, or our leaders are stupid. Of course we don't get all of the facts in any news story, so like all of you I can only speculate.

If the US ever does fly over North Korea we will all know about it. All the puppets in the North should be bombed back into the stone age and the politicians in Washington keep their mouth shut about it. Same should have happened in Nam.
