Legion history contest winners announced

On Oct. 6, American Legion National Historian Robert Gilmore Jr. reported to the National Executive Committee the results of the 2020-2021 American Legion History Contests, conducted down the hall from the committee room in the Legion’s national library.

One-Year Department Narrative History Contest:

First Place: Department of Indiana
Second Place: Department of North Carolina

One-Year Department Yearbook History Contest:

First Place: Department of Missouri
Second Place: Department of Nebraska
Third Place: Department of North Carolina

One-Year Post Narrative History Contest:

First Place: Frierson-Nichols Post 8, Winter Haven, Fla.
