Site promotes mission, vision and values, provides media tools for local use.
The American Legion National Executive Committee approved a resolution in 2020 that made “Veterans Strengthening America” the organization’s official motto. Also adopted was a statement of mission, vision and values.
A new web hub has been developed to share the message behind the motto and statement. Included are the language of the 2020 resolution, videos of Legionnaires explaining what each element means, voices of strength from members, key metrics, and “tools of engagement” with promotional materials for local use and social media sharing.
Some of the materials are still in development and will be posted in the months ahead. Included are downloadable pop-up banners, social media graphics, public service announcements and more.
The site will continue to evolve as part of the About section on legion.org.
