Legion leadership to discuss membership goals

Members of The American Legion’s National Membership & Post Activities Committee are meeting in Indianapolis, Jan. 9-10, to discuss progress toward the Legion’s five-year membership strategic plan and departments’ ongoing responsibilities toward the plan’s success. The committee will also review several membership resolutions passed last August during the 96th National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

National Membership & Post Activities Committee Chairman Kenneth Orrock of South Dakota will lead the meeting, and opening remarks will be given by National Commander Mike Helm and leading candidate for 2015-2016 national commander Dale Barnett of Georgia.
