Veterans outreach effort coming to San Francisco area

American Legion national staff and Department of California Legionnaires will team up April 19-21 for a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort in the San Francisco area. All wartime veterans are invited to the event to learn about American Legion programs and veterans benefits.

The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 19-20 and 9 a.m.-noon April 21 at Redwood City American Legion Post 105, 651 El Camino Real, Redwood City.

A veterans service officer will be available all three days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs-related questions and other veterans benefits issues.
