Washington Legion posts hosting veterans outreach effort

American Legion national staff and Department of Washington Legion Family members are teaming up to conduct a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort Feb. 3-8 in and around south central Washington. Legion Family members will be on hand to discuss veterans benefits, the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community.

The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the following days at the following locations.

• Feb. 3-4 –Benton City/Richland American Legion Post 115, 908 Dale Ave., Benton City.

• Feb. 5-6 – Logan Wheeler American Legion Post 36, 1120 North 34th Ave., Yakima.

• Feb. 7-8 – Art Semro American Legion Post 28, 276 8th Ave., NW, Ephrata.

A veterans service officer will be available to discuss claims and other Department of Veterans Affairs benefits-related questions.
