Checklist for coronavirus business relief aid available

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has produced an interactive questions-and-answers guide for businesses, nonprofits and veterans organizations seeking to learn more about eligibility for CARES Act economic relief. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act allocates $350 billion to protect employees and help businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initial guidelines were posted at www.treasury.gov and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce developed its guide and checklist, with links to application forms. Veterans service organizations like The American Legion, which have a 501c19 tax designation, are included among businesses and non-profit organizations that may be eligible for assistance.
