October impact: disaster relief, scholarships and Be the One

The American Legion – in communities, states and the nation – stepped up to assist others in the aftermath of early-fall hurricanes. The National Executive Committee gathered for Fall Meetings in Indianapolis and heard the national commander call on all Legionnaires to “Be the One” to prevent veteran suicide.

Samsung Scholarships were awarded, Child Welfare Foundation grants were approved, and PACT Act VA disability benefits applications rolled in.
