Veterans outreach and claims assistance set for three locations in Utah

The American Legion Department of Utah is staging a three-day veterans outreach and post revitalization effort at three different locations, Nov. 14-16. Veterans who attend will be able to learn about American Legion programs and advocacy and receive assistance with their Department of Veterans Affairs-related benefits claims.

The locations and times are:

·       Tuesday, Nov. 14, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  – American Legion Post 71, 3419 West Temple, Salt Lake City.

·       Wednesday, Nov. 15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. – American Legion Post 9, 845 W. 24th St., Ogden.

·       Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. – American Legion Post 13, Provo Historic Courthouse, 51 S University Ave., Provo.

An accredited American Legion service officer will be available at all three locations to assist veterans and their families with VA claims at no cost and answer other questions related to benefits.

And on Thursday, Nov. 16, a special Be the One dinner and program will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Provo Historic Courthouse. The dinner is free to all who attend the outreach effort that day; RSVP to adjutant@utlegion.org by Thursday, Nov. 9.
