Veterans claims assistance, outreach set for Connecticut

The American Legion Department of Connecticut is staging a veterans outreach and post revitalization effort Nov. 18 in Danbury. Veterans who attend will be able to learn about American Legion programs and advocacy and receive assistance with their Department of Veterans Affairs-related benefits claims.

The effort will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at American Legion Post 60, 138 Triangle St, Danbury. An accredited American Legion service officer will be available to assist veterans and their families with VA claims at no cost and answer other questions related to benefits.
