The wall was built to honor and pay tribute to all veterans, living or deceased, beginning with the Revolutionary Way 1776 to the present time. The Veterans Wall of Honor is a memorial to reflect on the sacrifices that individuals made to preserve precious freedoms. It is a solemn place for veterans, families and friends to spend quiet time. It is a place of learning the nation's history with features of timelines, plaques, quotes and flags. The Veterans Wall of Honor also makes a grand venue for many memorial outdoor events such as Veterans Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, 9/11, and Armed Forces Day. The wall was designed by retired Architect Vern Watten and is located on 1.5 acres of park-like land on Veterans Way in Bella Vista, Arkansas. The site is adjacent to and highly visible from the new Trail Blazers walking trail around Lake Bella Vista and is a beautiful attraction for tourists as well as local residents in the Northwest Arkansas area. The site is available for viewing every day of the year and is free to everyone. Ample paved free parking for cars and buses is available. The site is permanent, to be enjoyed for many decades.
