Missing in Clearwater region's history has been the military recognition of Veterans since WW I. Given that there are 400, 000 living veterans in the region, and an untold number of deceased veterans, Tampa Bay Veterans Alliance assumes responsibility to create, fund and develop the Florida Veterans Memorial Plaza at Crest Lake Park in Clearwater, Florida, giving a long overdue tribute to this chapter of the region's history.
