Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park

Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park
After working hard for over three years, the Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park, Inc. (PCVMP) group has reached its goal – building a veteran’s memorial to pay tribute to all veterans: those who have fought to protect and serve our nation in the past, those who are serving and those who will serve in the future. The Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park was dedicated on August 9, 2018. There were over 700 citizens that gather for the impressive ceremony. All that attended were proud what has been accomplished for every veteran we know or have known. From governmental agencies to businesses and individuals the people of Pickens County came through just like they always do. A memorial program was also born “Bricks of Honor”. The veteran memorial bricks are a tangible way of honoring your loved ones who served and reaffirming your commitment to this great country. This has been a vision of many not just one.
