Montgomery Area Veterans Memorial Park
The Montgomery Area Veterans Memorial Park is located at 301 Blvd. Ave. NW in Montgomery, Minnesota. This memorial consists of a large engraved granite stone surrounded with over 330 sponsored engraved bricks with a stone wall erected behind it. Behind the stone wall flies the American Flag, the POW flag along with the five Branches of Service flags. There are 6 donated cement benches located in the park along with a large donated cement statue of a solider with a donated cement Battle Field Cross on each side of the solider. There are two donated cement American Eagles perched on the stone wall. There are pavilion housing framed memorials of local Veterans. Located in the pavilion is a donated hand carved wooden American Eagle enclosed in a glass and metal case. There is a flower garden with a donated stone with the Pledge of Allegiance engraved on it. There are 3 large donated evergreen trees located on the south east corner along with a line of trees at the south border.
