This 1970s-vintage veteran's memorial stands at the foot of the walkway to the Hinds County Courthouse. Comprised of a white spire that splits into 5 arms at its base to accommodate 5 panels, this memorial honors the sacrifices of veterans from the four branches of the US Armed Forces (Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force) from Hinds County who fought and died in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and who are MIA. Multi-War Memorial: WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, MIA. Dedicated in 1976 by the Citizens of Hinds County. In honor of residents of Hinds County who lost their lives in defense of freedom.
