The Veterans Memorial Park in Palmer, Nebraska is a must see. There is a sign on Highway 92 to direct you into Palmer to the memorial. Once in town, turn west onto Commercial Street (by Trotter's Whoa & Go), and continue to the middle of town. You will find the memorial on the south side of the street, with plenty of parking available--even if you have a trailer. The park is even well lit at night. There are several name plates displayed and flags flying high. Scott with Saltzgaber Sprinklers and Lawn Care did an absolutely amazing job on the landscaping, too. There is even a shelter with tables and benches to relax in the shade while you take it in. The American Legion Post #120 is almost right next door to the memorial, as well the kitchen/bar is open most evenings (call ahead to make sure - 308-894-2175).
