Transylvania County War Memorial, Brevard
The memorial, standing approximately six feet tall, is located in front of the Transylvania Courthouse. The monument pays the tribute to citizens of the Transylvania County who gave their lives for the country and freedom. It lists names of servicemen who died in combat in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the War on Global Terrorism. Words Freedom, Country, Glory and Honor are carved on four sides of the monument granite base.
