World War Memorial
The memorial is a three by three foot granite rock with an inscription on one side and the names of four men from Hertford County, North Carolina who died in World War I. Beside it is a cannon believed to be a WWI cannon. It is located on the grounds of the county courthouse. The granite reads "1918 The World War 1918 Erected in the memory of Hertford County heroes who freely gave their all to their country's call. Erected by the schools of Hertford County."
