A section of the Euchee Valley Memorial Park has been dedicated for veterans. An oval-shaped memorial display of monuments and flagpoles is the centerpiece of the section and is bounded by 2 large raised monuments in the front (north) and rear (south). Three tall flagpoles are centered in the display, with the outer 2 defining the left (east) and right (west) boundaries. Five shorter flagpoles, supported by small granite monuments at their base, are aligned in front (north) of the taller flagpoles. The large raised “T – shaped” monument in the foreground (north) is inscribed: THIS VETERANS SECTION IS DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY The 3 tall flagpoles rest on raised concrete 2-tier pedestal bases set on a concrete pad. The tallest center pole flies the American Flag; the left (east) pole flies the State of Oklahoma Flag; and the right (west) pole flies the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Flag. On the center flagpole base is displayed a bronze plaque incised with a rendering of the American Flag flying, and the words to the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. The 5 shorter flagpoles fly the Service flags, from left (east) to right (west), of the Air Force, Marine Corps, Army, Navy, and Coast Guard. The base, supporting each flagpole, is a small, tapered face, granite monument, with the bronze emblem or seal of the respective Branch of Service being displayed on the flag above. The large concrete monument in the background (south), rests on a concrete pad, is raised by 2 footings and features a bronze plaque on the front face, inscribed with the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. On the bottom rear face, is a bronze plaque inscribed with the Coat of Arms (Eagle) of the United States, and the words: IN HONOR OF KENNETH W. “TOM” REAGAN FIRST INTERMENT IN THIS “VETERANS CIRCLE” EUCHEE VALLEY MEMORIAL PARK Surrounding the memorial features, are the individual markers of military veterans.
