Site was given to the local McLoud Post 0244. Several individuals made donations to include General Ret Walker of the city. The memorial contains bricks that identify local soldiers, an eagle, two sitting benches, and a flag for each service. The memorial sits at the west entrance of the city for all coming into McLoud, Oklahoma to see.

McLoud, Oklahoma 74851 McLoud is a town in northwestern Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, United States, and is part of the Oklahoma City Consolidated Metropolitan Area. The population was 4,044 at the 2010 census, a 14.0 percent increase from 3,548 at the 2000 census.[3] The town was founded in 1895 and named for John W.
