Nowata County Historical Society Military Exhibit

Nowata County Historical Society Military Exhibit
The Nowata County Historical Society Museum was recently moved into a new building. The grand opening was May 6, 2017. As part of the opening, Nowata American Legion Post 101 was asked to dedicate the Military Exhibit. The Legion had obtained the pieces and constructed a Battlefield Memorial for the exhibit, along with various military uniforms and memorabilia. Legion members gathered and placed a wreath at the base of the memorial at the ceremony. The proclamation reads: “This memorial is dedicated to all men and women who have died in service to our country.” The exhibit is a place for all to experience military history and remember the sacrifice of those who have served in defense of our great nation. The Nowata County Historical Society Museum is located at 136 S. Oak St.
